摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an accurate analytic value by avoiding gaseous hydrogen sulfide from being generated by a sulfur compound that may be contained in sample water (sample for analysis), in a method for analyzing a water soluble selenium concentration of the sample water by measuring gaseous hydrogen selenide while utilizing a gaseous hydrogen selenide detector. <P>SOLUTION: According to the method, after implementing in order first pretreatment for heating sample water after adding potassium permanganate thereto as an organic decomposer and second pretreatment for heating the sample water after adding hydrochloric acid thereto as a reductant for reducing hexavalent selenium into quadrivalent selenium, gaseous hydrogen selenide is generated by causing quadrivalent selenium contained in the sample water to react with tetrahydro sodium borate. The gaseous hydrogen selenide is guided to a gaseous hydrogen selenide detector, and a water soluble selenium concentration of the sample water is analyzed on the basis of a signal value detected by the gaseous hydrogen selenide detector. In this method, sulfuric acid is further added in the first pretreatment, thereby decomposing sulfur compound that may generate gaseous hydrogen sulfide by reacting with tetrahydro sodium borate together with organic substances contained in the sample water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
