<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-sided image forming method whereby a double sided print that has images with equal smoothness and image quality on both sides thereof can be formed easily. <P>SOLUTION: The double-sided image forming method comprises performing a smoothing process on a first side of a recording material in such a manner that using a specific smoothing processor, a target process body with a toner layer born on the first side of the recording material is heated in a nip part and cooled, and performing a smoothing process on a second side in such a manner that the target process body with a toner layer born on the second side of the recording material is heated in the nip part and cooled. In this method, toner being 0.2 to 14 J/g in fusion energy ΔH obtained from DSC measurement is used. In addition, the ratio (P2/P1) of nipping conditions P1 and P2, which are expressed by the maximum temperature of the nip part during the smooth processing on each of the first and second sides × the maximum pressure of the nip part × the times required for the target body to be passed through the nip part is 0.2 to 0.8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
