<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient strength of coke even though waste plastic is used as a raw material for manufacturing the coke. <P>SOLUTION: When a mixture of chemical coke comprising a residue after the waste plastic is liquefied and reduced with coal is used as coking coal, the mixing ratio of the chemical coke to total quantity of the coking coal is set to ≤5 mass% and the coke is manufactured using the coking coal.
