PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system which is effective in preventing an illegal copy or print using data representing an image and/or characters of an author and to provide a print system which charges a user for an electronic publication that the user obtains. SOLUTION: This print system which downloads data from a service-side system and prints by a printer client according to the data is characterized by that the printer client accesses the service-side system to obtain a data position, downloads the data from the service-side system according to the obtained data position, prints according to the downloaded data, and notifies the service-side system of the print result.
