<p>The method involves providing heat exchangers (12, 13) with air ducts, and connecting end boxes (16, 18) with the heat exchangers such that the air ducts are opened out into an airspace of the end boxes. An intermediate box (14) is connected with the heat exchangers for a motor vehicle of one design such that the air ducts are opened out into an airspace of the intermediate box. The heat exchangers are connected with the end boxes for the motor vehicle of another design. The heat exchangers are connected over the intermediate box for the vehicle of a third design.
