<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely reduce an arithmetic amount for calculating the moving vector of a video signal, and to make it easy to operate fixed-pint processing. <P>SOLUTION: In order to calculate the moving vector of each of the image blocks of a moving image, characteristic values λ1 and λ2 among three-dimensionally defined first to third characteristic values λ1 to λ3 are calculated by a secondary fixed equation by substituting approximating characteristic values λ'1 and λ'2 of a still image, and a characteristic value λ3 whose accuracy is required is calculated by a normal dispersion formula. Thus, the moving vectors are calculated without using a tertiary fixed equation so that it is possible to achieve processing in a time and to improve the calculating accuracy of the moving vectors by reducing an arithmetic amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
