<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which is configured to improve reliability and efficiency and to adjust areas of light emitting regions according to an intended purpose. <P>SOLUTION: Configured is a light emitting device including: a light emitting structure including a plurality of light emitting regions including a first semiconductor layer, an active layer and a second semiconductor layer; a first electrode unit disposed on the first semiconductor layer which is one of the light emitting regions; a second electrode unit disposed on the second semiconductor layer which is another one of the light emitting regions; an intermediate pad disposed on the second semiconductor layer which is at least still another one of the light emitting regions; and a connection electrode for sequentially connecting the light emitting regions in series.
