<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work gate valve that is a space-saving type with a shortened length in a direction (direction perpendicular to a pipeline of a connection pipe such as a branch pipe) along a fluid pipeline at a position where a work gate valve is disposed, and whose mounting position has a simplified reinforcement structure. <P>SOLUTION: A valve body 10 is formed of a flexible sheet-like body 30 having sealability, and a support member 31 for contacting and supporting the flexible sheet-like body 30. The support member 31 is divided into a plurality of support elements in a direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the valve body 10. The plurality of support elements are rotatably linked to each other. A guide means 24 is formed of an orthogonal part X extending in a direction orthogonal to a pipe axis, a parallel part Y extending in a direction along the pipe axis, and an arc part Z for smoothly connecting the orthogonal part X and the parallel part Y.
