<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling an electric power supply capable of coping with a sudden trigger of power off, without newly adding equipment, and the electric power supply. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for controlling an electric power supply, the electric power supply includes: a battery 100 configured to obtain power off trigger information; a robot ECU200 to which power is supplied from the battery 100, configured to receive a signal from the battery 100 according to the power off trigger information to execute shut-down processing of a system.
