Provided are: an electronic component, the manufacturing yield, performance and reliability of which satisfy standards that can be applied in a practical sense; a conductive paste for aluminum electrodes that are used in the electronic component; and a glass composition for the aluminum electrodes. This glass composition for the electrodes of the electronic component is obtained by forming an electrode having metal particles and a glass phase formed on a silicon substrate, and is characterized by being an oxide glass: wherein the glass phase in the electrodes contains at least oxides of vanadium, antimony and boron, and further contains at least one type of oxide of phosphorus, tellurium, barium and tungsten; the content of phosphorus is less than 10% by mass in terms of oxide; and the content of lead in the glass is not more than 1,000 ppm.
