In some embodiments, a minimum inner diameter (88) of the working surface of the necking die (92) is greater than the first top section minimum outer diameter (84). In some embodiments, the step of narrowing a second section (86) of the metal container (80) to a second section minimum outer diameter (88) comprises passing the necking die (92) beyond the first top section minimum outer diameter (84).
