The device (102) has a wall element (104) with a through hole (110) i.e. groove, between an outer surface of the wall element and an inner surface of the wall element opposite to the outer surface. A carrier (108) comprises a through hole (112) i.e. constant hole, and a circulating wall enclosing the through hole of the wall element. The circulating wall is connected to the through hole of the wall element over a gastight and liquid-tight connection with the inner surface of the wall element. A membrane (109) encloses the through hole of the carrier. The wall element is used as separation between an inner space of the housing and an environment of the housing and formed as a lid for the housing. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a pressure compensation device.
