PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing airport guide service are provided to determine what step of airport use process that a user is in currently, based on purpose of airport use and current postioning information of the user, and then in real time provide information that the user should know at the step. CONSTITUTION: When a airport guide service application is activated according to operaion of a user who wants to use an airport, a mobile terminal(10) connects to an airport guide server(20) through a wirless internet network(S10) and transmits logon information to the airport guide server(S20). The airport guide server confirms whether the person operating the mobile terminal is authorized to use the airport or not(S14). The airport guide server requests for purpose of airport use to the mobile terminal(S16), and the mobile terminal transmits the purpose of airpot use to the airport guide server(S18). The airport guide server confirms that the purpose of airport use is one of departure, entry, and transit(S20), and sends an airline server(30) a request for information about a plane ticket which corresponds to the user(S22). The airline server searches the information about the plane ticket(S24), and transmits the searched information to the airport guide server(S26). The airport guide serve in real time obtains information about the current postion of the mobile terminal(S28). A step of process determination unit(25) determines the current step of process based on the information about the current position of the mobile terminal(S30). A guide information generation unit(26) generates guide information to be provided to the airport user(S32). When the generated guide information is transmitted to the mobile terminal(S34), the step of process determination unit determins if the current step is the final step of process(S36) or not and, if not, repeates the step S28 for oabtaining information about the current position of the mobile terminal.
