<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscopic device able to instantly change the emitting direction of stroboscopic light from the present emitting direction to a desired emitting direction in a photographic mode set so as to always direct the emitting direction of the stroboscopic light to a desired direction, thereby preventing a shutter chance from being missed, and to provide an imaging apparatus equipped with the stroboscopic device. <P>SOLUTION: The stroboscopic device 2 according to the present invention comprises: a stroboscopic body part 8; a light emitting part 10; a variable mechanism 11 able to change the angle of the light emitting part 10 in a vertical direction between an angle in a regular emitting direction and an angle in a desired emitting direction; drive means 12 for driving the variable mechanism 11; vertical direction angle detection means 13, provided in the stroboscopic body part 8 or light emitting part 10, for detecting the angle of the light emitting part 10 in the vertical direction; and control means 14 for changing the angle of the light emitting part 10 in the vertical direction to the angle in the desired emitting direction by the drive means 12, based on a detection signal from the vertical direction angle detection means 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
