PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of being sometimes taken as an unpreferable image by some reasons such that visibility is decreased and in addition an shape of an image is not clear since there is a risk of the whole image of metallic printing being dimmed.

SOLUTION: A printing apparatus has an image arrangement processing part 114 for arranging a metallic image and a color image as a printing image. The image arrangement processing part 114 arranges the metallic image at the contour area of the printing image.
