<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component in which occurrence of significant cracking can be minimized in a laminate. <P>SOLUTION: A laminate 11 formed by laminating a plurality of ceramic layers has a top face S1 and a bottom face S2, and two end faces S3, S4 facing each other. Capacitor conductor layers 30, 31 are provided on the ceramic layer and constitute a capacitor. External electrodes 12a, 12b cover the end faces S3, S4, and are folded to the top face S1 and the bottom face S2. Dummy conductor layers 40, 41 are provided on a ceramic layer located closer to the bottom face S2 than the ceramic layer provided with the capacitor conductor layers 30, 31, and overlap the tips Tb, Td at the parts in the external electrodes 12a, 12b folded to the bottom face S2 in the plan view from the z-axis direction.
