<p>The method involves storing phonemes in a state e.g. nominative state, in a database (2001). One of the phonemes is selected based on a control signal, which is received in context of route guidance. Another desired state e.g. genitive state, of the selected phoneme is determined based on the received control signal. A part of the selected phoneme is changed for transferring the selected phoneme into the specified latter stage based on a set of rules. The phoneme in the latter state is converted into an acoustic signal for outputting by an acoustic output device (2002) i.e. loudspeaker. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product comprising instructions for performing a method for outputting an acoustic signal by a navigation system (2) a device for outputting an acoustic signal by a navigation system.</p> |
