<p>A device for controlling the parking of motor vehicles, comprising a process controller and also detection means (13, 24) and signalling means (12, 29, 31, 33) that are intended for parking spaces, the process controller, in order to inform a driver who is at the wheel of his vehicle and is looking for a free parking space, that he is able to park, controlling the signalling means so as to trigger a signalling state as a function of a calculation that takes account of the free parking spaces detected by the detection means. According to the invention, upon each instance of a space being freed or occupied that is detected by the detection means (13, 24) and processed by the process controller, the process controller triggers the signalling state indicating the ability to park of a minimum number of signalling means (12, 29, 31, 33) when it detects that there are only this minimum number of free parking spaces left, or of a number of signalling means calculated as a percentage of the free parking spaces, or, when the detection means comprise means for identifying vehicles to be favoured, as a percentage of parking spaces occupied by vehicles identified by the identification means, so as to dynamically allocate this minimum number or this percentage of free parking spaces to vehicles to be favoured.</p> |
