PURPOSE: A three-dimensional image photographing device and a method thereof are provided to reduce distortions by implementing a three-dimensional image through an image sensor. CONSTITUTION: An image sensor(300) includes a plurality of pixel lines. The image sensor sequentially exposes the pixel lines to convert image light into an electric signal. A three-dimensional shutter(200) is arranged on an optical path incident to the image sensor. A control unit(400) is electrically connected with the image sensor and the three-dimensional shutter to control the image sensor and the three-dimensional shutter. The control unit synchronizes vertical synchronization time with opening unit blocking operation time. A liquid crystal display device penetrates or blocks light according to the application of the electric signal.
