<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a remote control device which allows an operator to perform control with his or her elbow including the wrist thereon so as not to make the operator tired when used for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: An armrest type remote control device has an armrest member (10), first and second connection members (31 and 32), and a base connection member (40), which forms a parallelogram, and includes first angle detection means for detecting a tilt angle of the first connection member to a vertical axis, second angle detection means for detecting an angle around a third connection axis of the base connection member, third angle detection means for detecting an angle around a vertical axis member of the base member, a first spring mechanism for generating a restoring force in accordance with the tilt angle of the first connection member, and a second spring mechanism for generating a restoring force in accordance with a tilt angle of the armrest member. Wires (16 and 38) attached to end parts of springs (12, 13, 33, and 34) are stretched around non-circular pulleys (23 and 43) so that a weight of the armrest member including the spring mechanisms and a weight of an operator's arm including the wrist, which is put on the armrest member, are balanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
