<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system which properly determines the lives of an electric outlet and a cable connector and improves the safety. <P>SOLUTION: A charging system includes: an electric power main line to which electric power is supplied from an external power source; a charging unit 6 connecting with a power plug 8 of a vehicle 1 and including an electric outlet 9 to which electric power is supplied from the electric power main line; a measurement part 15 provided at the charging unit 6 and detecting the number of insertion and removal of the electric outlet 9; a temperature sensor 14 provided at the charging unit 6 and detecting a temperature of the electric outlet 9; and a control part 7 provided at the charging unit 6 and estimating the life of the electric outlet 9 on the basis of information detected by the measurement part 15 and the temperature sensor 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
