<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a composite component capable of mechanically connecting a base material and a resin member by a simple method regardless of use of various base materials, and to provide the composite component. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the composite component 1 by injecting a molten resin into a die 10 with a metal pipe 2 arranged so as to cover at least a part of a surface of the metal pipe 2 and cooling it to obtain the composite component 1 in which the metal pipe 2 is integrated with the resin member 3, a through-hole 2a passing through front and rear surfaces of the metal pipe 2 is formed and the molten resin is injected onto a front surface side F while arranging a sheet material 4 on the front surface side F of the metal pipe 2 so as to close the through-hole 2a to press the sheet material 4 into the through-hole 2a with the injected molten resin to bulge out it toward a rear surface side R of the metal pipe 2 to form a bulged part acting as an engagement projection 5 of a diameter larger than the opening size of the through-hole 2a on the rear surface side R, thereby obtaining the composite component 1 in which the metal pipe 2 and the resin member 3 are connected by the engagement projection 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
