<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot welder by which stable weld quality is obtained when spot-welding a material to be welded that is a plate assembly of superimposed plate materials different in rigidity. <P>SOLUTION: The spot welder includes: a base part 3, which is fixed to a welding robot; a fixed-side electrode 12; a movable-side electrode 19, which is reciprocated by a pressurizing actuator 14; and a sub-pressurizing means 20. The sub-pressurizing means 20 has a positioning unit 30 for a sub-pressurization applying part, which unit is provided with: a sub-pressurization applying part 40 having a sub-pressurizing part 49, which sub-pressurizes a material 11 to be welded with a sub-pressurizing actuator 52; a sub-pressurization applying part-biasing means 37, which biases the sub-pressurization applying part 40 into such a direction that the sub-pressurizing part 49 is projected from a top end 12a of the fixed-side electrode 12; and a position fixing means 34 for a sub-pressurization applying part, which selectively fixes the sub-pressurization applying part 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
