<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scale from being generated on a filter when washing lint with water. <P>SOLUTION: A clothing drying machine comprises: an air duct 13 for introducing drying air to a drum 4; and a lint filter 24 for capturing lint contained in the drying air flowing through the air duct. The lint filter comprises: a first filter 24a formed in a bag shape; a second filter 24b disposed on a downstream side of the first filter and having a mesh finer than that of the first filter; and filter washing means 26 for washing out the lint captured by the second filter with water. The second filter has such water repellant property that the water discharged from the filter washing means 26 and remaining on a filter surface forms droplets.
