<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in a humidity detection apparatus using a thermistor absolute humidity sensor, power to be consumed during humidity detection or on standby is considerable and power is consumed uselessly. <P>SOLUTION: A humidity detection apparatus comprises a thermistor absolute humidity sensor 1, a constant current circuit 2 and a voltage variable power source V1. When the voltage of the power source V1 is reduced, a current for retaining warmth of thermistor elements 4, 5 required for obtaining a humidity detection performance of the thermistor absolute humidity sensor 1 is supplied by the constant current circuit 2.
