摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the irreversible capacity by enhancing the cycle characteristics of a lithium ion secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: A negative electrode material contains carriers and silicon/amorphous carbon composite particles. In the carriers, carbon fibers having electron conductivity entwine each other. There are clearances which allow for infiltration of fluid between the carbon fibers. The silicon/amorphous carbon composite particles infiltrate the clearances and are dispersed within the carriers and carried thereon. The silicon/amorphous carbon composite particles include silicon particles and a surface adhesion matter.
