<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane foam improved in flame retardancy, mechanical physical properties and moisture resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a polyurethane foam includes reacting an active hydrogen component (A) and a polyisocyanate component (B) in the presence of a foaming agent (C) and a catalyst (D), in which (A) contains an amide compound (E) represented by general formula (I) and/or an imide compound having a specific structure.
