<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-display system capable of reducing power consumption without giving discomfort to a viewer. <P>SOLUTION: A multi-display system 1 includes: plural image display devices 10 each including a display unit 13 provided with plural light sources 31 and having a display screen capable of displaying an image; a storage unit 15 for storing therein arrangement information 61a, attitude information 61b, boundary position information 61c, gradient amount information 61d, and target power consumption information 61e; a brightness gradient calculation unit 52 for generating control information for adjusting brightness of each light source 31 on the basis of each piece of information 61a-61e so that the brightness of light sources 31 disposed in correspondence with a peripheral area Sb of a multi-display screen D is less than the brightness of light sources 31 disposed in correspondence with a center area Sa of the multi-display screen D and that the total power consumption of the light sources 31 is equal to or less than a target value; and a backlight driving unit 42 for driving each light source 31 on the basis of the control information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
