<p>In a PC card, the circumference of a base plate (4) is surrounded by a plastic frame (8). Metal plates (2), such as stainless steel plates, covering both surfaces of the base plate (4) are fixed to the plastic frame (8). The outer surfaces of the portions of the metal plates (2) which are on the opposite side of the connector (1), and which are touched by the hand of a user, are covered with an insulating tape (7). Accordingly, even when an electrically charged person touches a PC card being inserted into or withdrawn from an external apparatus body, such as a personal computer (PC), the static electricity (electric charge) with which the person is charged does not flow into the external apparatus, so that en erroneous operation and runaway of the external apparatus does not occur.</p> |
