<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit which maintains high picture quality as an advantage to a picture display unit with a movable shutter and achieves both of high definition and high reliability resulting from a simplified pixel circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel circuit has a first control electrode and a second control electrode as a pair for the movable shutter, and a first control voltage application circuit for inputting a first control voltage corresponding to the picture signal to the first control electrode. A second control voltage is inputted to the second control electrode. The first control voltage application circuit has an input transistor including a current terminal end connected to the signal line and a gate connected to the scan line, a storage capacitor including one end connected another current terminal end of the input transistor and another end to which a capacitance control signal is inputted so that the voltage taken at the input transistor is maintained, and a first transistor including a gate connected to one end of the storage capacitor, one current terminal end to which a first control signal is inputted, and another current terminal end connected to the first control electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
