摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a player from feeling a sense of incongruity by reducing the time lag between an image and sound, in a performance of a game machine. <P>SOLUTION: A sound controller of this game machine has a plurality of channels (8 channels), and generates diverse sound (acoustics) such as voice, BGM, or effective sound. On the assumption that data transmission per channel needs 8 ms, the game machine starts data transmission 32 ms earlier than screen display start timing t&alpha;. Just then, when 32 ms has lapsed from t&alpha;, the data transmission and the reproduction of the sound of all the channels can be completed.
