摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent long repetition of hunting phenomenon, i.e., drop of supply voltage, stop of an AC/DC converter, recovery of supply voltage and resumption of the AC/DC converter, in the charger for electric car, and in the case of temporary voltage drop, to hold the charging operation and to continue charging after ending of the hunting phenomenon. <P>SOLUTION: A charger 10 includes an AC/DC converter 13 which converts the AC power supplied from an external power supply 93 into DC power and outputs to a battery, and a controller 18 for controlling the AC/DC converter 13. When a hunting phenomenon such that the external power supply voltage received by the AC/DC converter 13 goes below the drive lower limit of the AC/DC converter 13 and is recovered, is repeated, the controller 18 counts the number of times of repetition of the phenomenon and ends the charging when the count reaches a predetermined threshold number of times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
