<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof box for a generator facilitating taking in and out of the generator and having a confirming function of whether or not seal of respective parts effectively function. <P>SOLUTION: This soundproof box 1 for the generator for storing the generator, includes an opening-closing door arranged on one side surface of the soundproof box 1, a pedestal 30 constituted so as to be slidable to the inside and outside of the soundproof box 1 in a state of opening the opening-closing door, and a lock lever 18 for holding the pedestal 30 in a predetermined storage position in the soundproof box 1, and is constituted so that the lock lever 18 does not move to a lock position when not in a state of sliding the pedestal 30 to the predetermined storage position and the opening-closing door is not closed since the lock lever 18 abuts on the opening-closing door when the lock lever 18 does not exist in the lock position.
