<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster of simple structure, configured to permit a wheel to turn in only one direction, while limiting the rotation in the other direction. <P>SOLUTION: The caster including a wheel 2 which is turnably supported by a support frame 1 and having at least an outer periphery formed of elastomer, includes a plate spring 4 swingably supported by the support frame 1. The plate spring 4 is formed into a curved shape which approaches the wheel 2 as it separates from the swing center. An end of the plate spring 4 comes into contact with the outer periphery of the wheel 2. The wheel 2 freely rotates counterclockwise, springing up the plate spring 4. On the other hand, in rotating the wheel clockwise, the plate spring 4 is deformed and stores the energy, and the end of the plate spring 4 is pushed by the outer periphery of the wheel 2 and cuts into the wheel.
