摘要 Provided is a gait characteristic acquisition device which can be made compact and lightweight, with which cost can be reduced, and with which processing time can be shortened. This gait characteristic acquisition device (1) comprises: a mat (10) which is provided on a floor and in which five sections are combined and disposed in the shape of a cross; a laser range finder (20) which is disposed outside of the mat (10) and along the symmetrical axis of the mat (10) and scans the mat (10) in a horizontal direction to acquire distance information regarding the distance to an object; a leg detection unit (53) which detects legs of a subject (100) and determines the position of the detected legs on the basis of the distance information acquired by the laser range finder (20); a storage unit (55) which stores the position of the legs determined by the leg detection unit (53) in association with time information; and a gait characteristic acquisition unit (57) which acquires the gait characteristic of the subject (100) on the basis of the change with time in the position of the legs that is stored in the storage unit (55) in association with the time information.
