Provided is an angle-of-rotation detection device that can be removed easily from a crank. The detection device comprises: an elastic substrate (34-37), the back surface of which is bonded to a crank (B311) that is rotatably coupled to the bicycle body; and a strain gauge (30-33) bonded to the front surface of the substrate (34-37). The load that acts on the crank is detected on the basis of the strain on the crank as detected by the strain gauge (30-33).
