A charging control device for controlling charging of a plurality of electrically powered automobiles from a power distribution system comprises: a storing means for storing a first period within a charging control period, a second period of the charging control period other than the first period, and a target level for charging demand during the first period; a receiving means for receiving from each of a plurality of automobiles a required amount of charging for the automobiles; and a controlling means for controlling charging during the first period by using a target level of charging demand as a target, and controlling charging during the second period by setting a target level for charging in the second period on the basis of a total remainder when the amount of charging by charging during the first period is subtracted from the total amount of the plurality of required amounts of charging, and using as a target the target level for charging.
