Provided are a method and device for recovering a resource environment. The method includes: a cloud server receiving a resource operation request; the cloud server determining according to the resource operation request that it is required to back up a resource environment corresponding to the resource operation request; the cloud server backing up the resource environment corresponding to the resource operation request before performing the operation indicated by the resource operation request; the cloud server receiving a message used for resource environment recovery and recovering the backed-up resource environment according to the backed-up resource environment and the message used for resource environment recovery. The embodiments of the present invention can realize the recoverability of resource environments.
