<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and remove, at high speed, fixed pattern noise in a vertical line shape, which occurs in an imaging element due to influence of an external device. <P>SOLUTION: All patterns of fixed pattern noise in the vertical line shape of an imaging element 11 due to an external circuit are recorded in a pattern data recording memory 16. Image data for one period or more of the fixed pattern noise in a horizontal optical black region is extracted for each horizontal line from a video signal of the imaging element 11 to be stored in an extracted data storage memory 15. An arithmetic average of the extracted image data to the all horizontal lines is calculated. A calculated average value is compared with the all patterns recorded in the pattern data recording memory 16 in an FPN comparison circuit 17, and the closest pattern is specified as the fixed pattern noise. An FPN correction operation circuit 14 removes the specified fixed pattern noise from a video signal and outputs the video signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
