<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger which avoids connection between a charging port and a charging connector from being unexpectedly released during charging. <P>SOLUTION: A charger includes: a charging port of a vehicle; an engaged part provided at the vehicle side; an engaging member provided at a charging connector; and restriction means which has a plate-like restriction member where a cutout part and a plate part are formed and switches between the state where the plate part is positioned at the separation direction of the engaging member by rotation of the restriction member thereby restricting the separation between the engaging member and the engaged member and the state where the cutout part is positioned at the separation direction side of the engaging member by the rotation of the restriction member thereby avoiding restricting the separation between the engaging member and the engaged member.
