<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that can control decrease in correcting accuracy of a detection roll angle and provide a device. <P>SOLUTION: When load-displacement characteristics (spring characteristics) of one of right and left suspensions are not within a range in which linear approximation is possible, it is determined that updates are prohibited. When it is determined that updates are not prohibited, a correction roll angle ϕ<SB POS="POST">2off</SB>that is obtained is updated and stored.
