<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmacological composition for treatment of the liver diseases in man the causes of which iron is responsible, including such viral diseases as chronic HCV (combined with an antiviral agent as required) and such non-viral diseases as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and fatty liver. <P>SOLUTION: The treatment uses 4-[3, 5-bis-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-[1,2,4]-triazol-1-yl] benzoic acid represented by the structural formula and is used in combination with interferon or ribavirin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
