<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which allows a battery cover covering a battery housing part to be securely fixed to a housing and be easily detached from and attached to the housing. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal 10 includes: a housing 11; a battery housing part 15 provided at the housing 11; a battery cover 17 covering the battery housing part 15; and a cylinder part 21 connecting with the battery cover 17. The battery cover 17 is formed so as to move along a direction perpendicular to the thickness direction of the housing 11 thereby attaching to or detaching from the housing 11. The cylinder part 21 is formed so as to house a part 12E of a case 12 and a part 13C of a cover 13 when placed in an attachment completion position P1.
