PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the work load of a user and save printing paper when a replacement page is automatically extracted and printed out.

SOLUTION: When an image forming apparatus 4 receives second print data after starting a printout based on first print data consisting of a plurality of pages before completing the printout, a page to be replaced from the first print data in the plurality of pages contained in the second print data is extracted as a replacement page. Then, when an original page of the first print data corresponding to the replacement page extracted is determined to be not yet outputted, the image forming apparatus 4 replaces the original page with the replacement page and prints it out.
