<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent coming off of a locking body with a simple configuration when the locking body having a straight portion is pushed in a longitudinal direction thereof to be mounted to a mounting plate. <P>SOLUTION: The air bag device 30 is mounted to a steering wheel with a protruding mounting member formed thereon. The air bag device includes an air bag, an inflator, a cover 36 having a cover body 37 and a standing wall 38, an mounting plate 40 to be mounted to the standing wall 38 so as to close an opening thereof, and a locking body 60 having a straight portion 61 where the mounting member can be locked. The mounting plate 40 includes a locking body support part 44 for supporting the locking body 60.
