摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel braking and driving device that improves space efficiency in a wheel. <P>SOLUTION: A braking and driving device 10 includes: an in-wheel motor 13; a planetary gear speed reducer 20; and a disk brake mechanism 40. A brake mechanism 40 includes a disk brake rotor 41 that is integrally formed to the part that extends to a vehicle inside direction at an output shaft 15a that inputs the rotation of a motor body 15 that composes the motor 13 to a reduction gear 20; and a brake caliper 42 that pushes a brake pad to this rotor 41. As a result, when the caliper 42 generates the frictional force by carrying out friction and engaging of the pad with the rotor 41, a bigger braking force can be generated in a tire 11 and a wheel 12 by deceleration by the speed reducer 20. Therefore, a motor 41 and the caliper 42 that composes the brake mechanism 40 can be miniaturized, and the space efficiency in the wheel 12 can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
