<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strut type suspension mounting structure for which a mounting space is not required to be secured, in which the rigidity of the top portion of a spring house is enhanced and temporal degradation is prevented from occurring, and which can secure traveling stability. <P>SOLUTION: This strut type suspension mounting structure includes a spring house having a body part 21 the base end of which is welded to the wall member 8 of a vehicle body facing a strut type suspension and which projects upward and a lid-like member 22 the outer peripheral edge part of which is welded to the upper end of the body part. A mounting flange 33 attached to the upper end of the strut 31 of the suspension is put on and bolted to the lower surface of the lid-like member 22. The lid-like member 22 is formed so that the outer peripheral edge 223 is positioned lower than the center placement part 35 on the lower surface of which the mounting flange 33 is placed.
