<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for packing a monolith having a pivot mat into a prescribed housing whose contour at the minimum diameter part of a pack-in hopper is equal to a contour of the smallest housing within the most tolerable difference (smallest contour), or merely slightly smaller than the smallest contour, and which can pack the monolith wound with the pivot mat into the housing without fail as minimum as possible. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for sealing the monolith which is wound with the pivot mat, packed into the housing (1) and has the pivot mat into the housing (1), the housing (1) is elastically fastened at a plurality of points during the packing, and the housing tolerable difference and/or housing rotation are corrected by the fastening. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
