PURPOSE: A map displaying method of a navigation terminal is provided to set the magnification of displaying a map of a specific area by reflecting the intention of a driver so that the driver can conveniently check the map at the intended magnification. CONSTITUTION: A map displaying method of a navigation terminal is as follows: a step(S210) for registering a specific area based on location information; a step(S230) for receiving the GPS information of a current location and determining whether the current location is within the registered area or not by comparing the GPS information with the location information of the registered area; and a step(S240) for displaying a map of the corresponding area at preset specific magnification if the current location is within the registered area.
