A flexible printed circuit (FPC) harness connector 209 is connected to an electrical harness, e.g. for a gas turbine engine, the harness being formed from a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) 201 that comprises a plurality of conductive tracks which fan out at a disc-shaped, planar terminating region 205. The harness may have one or more harness connectors 209 at respective terminating regions 205 of the FPCB 201, each connector 209 being connectable to a complementary connector. Each harness connector includes a back-shell 211 which supports one or more elongate terminals 213 such that, when the harness connector 209 joins with a complementary connector, first ends 215 of the elongate terminals 213 electrically connect with mating terminals of the complementary connector. Each terminating region 205 has one or more receiving holes 207 that extend to respective conductive tracks of the harness. Each terminating region 205 makes a detachable, press-fit connection to the respective harness connector such that second ends 219 of the elongate terminals are received in the receiving holes 207 to electrically connect the elongate terminals with the conductive tracks. Upon disconnection of the harness connector 209 from both the complementary connector and the terminating region 205 of the harness, the elongate terminals 213 retain their position within the back-shell 211. |
